Hey y'all! I hate that I haven't blogged in months like I used to!! These two crazy boys I have have been keeping me crazy busy and loving every.... Err... Almost every minute!!

A lot has been going on in our life's! From a new mini to finding a church we like to working hard and playing harder!

Holden is growing up so fast and I can't believe that we are already starting to plan his birthday!! He is just SO, SO smart and he loves his mama so big. : )

Rylan goes about 99 miles an hour and is so full of life. He seriously is the happiest baby I have ever seen! Some days I'm convinced he's going to make me crazy but I wouldn't trade his happy, healthy self for anything in the world!!

So that's a little of what we have been up to!! I'm making it my mission to blog more! I love being able to look back on how far our family has come!

A pool and a fire

Whew-what a fun filled weekend we have had! Yesterday we spent time running errands and going to the park to play. Today we stayed around the house most of the day then went to my dads house for dinner and swimming. Not much swimming really went on but Holden had a blast squirting everyone with his squirt gun!

We also had our fill of entertainment when the next mountain over from their house caught fire and they had to come up dads driveway to get to the woods where the fire was. Jack and my step brother Jackson decided they wanted to follow the firemen to see the fire so there is a pic below. Holden just loved seeing all the fireman, fire truck and the huge tractor they brought in to help control the fire. Luckily it was about a mile from their house, do we were all safe enough away.

Weekend fun!

What a fun weekend we had! The boys and I had Friday off so we spent the day at home and I worked on Holden's hut stuff allllll day.

Saturday we got up and went over to my mom and step dads house and went swimming. This was Rylan's first time in the pool and for the most part he loved it and even feel asleep is the pool while mom was holding him! I think Holden liked it better this year also... But he's still not sure about it. We stayed over there for the day and cooked out that night.

Sunday we stayed home all day and Jack's parents came over to hang out for a bit. Jack left to go to a movie that night with my step dad Billy and I just took the boys outside and let them play.

Then today we stayed home again and had the neighbors come over for a cookout for lunch. It was super fun and we are so lucky to have such amazing neighbors who we can call great friends!

Just a few words Wednesday

Today we spent the day at my moms house. We had a blast and spent the whole day out in the backyard playing. My mom had surgery on her knee last Friday and my grandparents have been staying with her and my step-dad this week. It was amazing to watch Holden be able to run and play in their backyard and know he gets to spend time with not only his grandparents but mine too!

I grilled for the first time EVER when I made dinner for everyone! And I didn't even burn it! Ha!!

Holden has been feeling much better and luckily... I shouldn't even think these words... Jack, Rylan and I have stayed well!

I swear that Rylan is the happiest baby ever and smilies alllll the time!

Holden came home tonight and after taking a bath climbed in my bed to watch Curious George with his new George doll and my moms from when she was little.

It's the little things that are so cool! : )

101 and the flu

Today my sweet Rylan is 101 days old. Those 101 days have been so incredible and he is such a sweet and happy baby. We have had a super crazy past few weeks and have had a lot of fun from Jack's sisters, bro in laws and beautiful niece Sophia coming in town to an awesome 30th unsurprised birthday party for him... And not so fun moments.

Well maybe just two not so fun moments.

One of which when Jack sliced his finger open at work 11 days ago and 11 stitches later, today is his first day back.

The other not so fun moment came yesterday. Mr. Holden woke up with a fever of 104. So off to the doctor we went only to find out he has the flu. Poor guy really feels bad. Did you know when the doctor tells you your child has the flu AND you have a three month old at home the doc kinda freaks. So after an escort by a nurse out the back door, totally not kidding, and meds for Holden and Rylan, we are hunkering down at home at least for the time being until everyone is fever free.

But so far Holden is the only one sick and Rylan is still his happy normal self!

Sick baby

I think the worst thing in the world is having a sick baby. They are just do helpless and miserable and it kills me. Since Rylan was born, he has always been a stuffy baby. They told us that it's because when babies are born via csection, they don't get all the fluid squeezed out of them. Well it kinda comes and goes but is never really any cause for concern.

Well since about the end of last week, his congestion has gotten a lot worse. Sunday night it was so bad that he threw up an entire bottle. Monday he was fussy and still super stuffy but he seemed to be ok as long as he was propped up and not laying flat on his back.

Then Monday night hit. Poor little guy did not sleep at all. Maybe a total of two hours was all he slept all night. He just cried and cried all night. He couldn't keep anything down at all. So Tuesday morning I took him in to see the doctor.{He's now a whopping 12 lbs} They did an RSV test which came back negative and he decided he just "has a cold".... I'm still not buying it. He did much better last night but today has been fussy all day. He is still very congested in his sinus and now some has gone to his chest so he has a nasty cough. Poor guy has just been miserable. I am really hoping this sweet little guy feels better soon!! I can't stand it when my babies are sick!

Holden on the other hand, is way out of wack since Daddy started his new job on Monday. So yesterday we went over to Nana and Papas and he played and played. They have a fountain in their backyard and he had tons of fun throwing the frog into the water. : )

What is in a name

When I was little, we had these adorable stools that had our name on them where the letters made a puzzle and fit together. My sister Megan's is still around at my moms house and Holden LOVES it and plays with it every time we are over there.

Well about 3 weeks ago or so, after coming home from my moms, I decided that I needed to find one of these for Holden. So I got on the Internet and searched but never really found what I really wanted. And then we fast forward to today. We went over to my moms again to hang out and my grandparents joined us over there. When we walked in, we saw name stools for Holden and Rylan! The BEST part about them is that my amazing grandparents made them!! They are so awesome and Holden played with his over and over all day long!

So what is in a name? Well in this case LOTS of love!! Iam SO excited for the boys to be able to not only have these but to know that their great- grandparents made them! Super special!

Thank you sooo much Grandma and Grandpa!! We love them sooo much!!

Just a few thoughts

Hello! Here are a bunch of random things running thru my head with a few pics of my babes

* One of these days I AM going to go to bed before 1 am.... Maybe
* Yesterday we took Holden to ride the train in the mall. I think he liked it but was super tired(picture below)
* I am been sewing again this week and it feels awesome! I couldn't do much in the last few months I was prego with Rylan just because I would get so wore out. And I have made some of my fav tees ever!
* Jack has been jobless for two months now. He had an interview that sounded super promising last week but we haven't heard anything else yet.
* We are all finally over the stomach bug. It was bad and I feel SOO bad because my mom helped out with the boys when I was sick last week and now she has the bug
* Rylan is the sweetest baby ever but he has been getting a lot of gas lately(tmi?) and spitting up more. We changed his formula last week to see if that would help but so far it hasn't. He goes for his one month check up this week so we will see what the doctor says
* While driving down the road today Holden started singing along to "Red Solo Cup" now that's a kid after my heart! So funny!
* Speaking of Holden, we are down to one pass pass(paci). He had gotten on such a habit of sleeping with one in his mouth and multiple(like 2 or 3) in his hands at night. Well last week he forgot three at moms and was down to two here at home. And then he lost one
* I am SO addicted to Pinterest that it isn't funny. Exact that it is. Oh and words with friends. I actually sat in a room with three friends the other night and for over 30 min we didn't talk to each other cause we were so busy playing each other! Totally sad!! Lol!!

That's all I've got for now and remember I'm going to bed before 1! Ha!

2012

I can not believe that 2012 is already here!! I feel like we have waited soo long for January to get here and now it is here and we are just days away from having two sweet little boys!

We rang in the new year like we did last year having a fire in our fire pit in the back yard with all of our neighbors and it was perfect. Now we are just sitting back and enjoying our last few weeks as a family of 3 and I am soaking up every minute I can with this sweet boy! He has become so funny and talks ALL the time!

And so I remember, here are his 2 year check up stats:

Weight 27lbs {30-something %}

Length 37 inches {60-something %}

Still such a long and skinny thing!

2012 is going to be such an amazing year I know already! So let's get this year started!!

32 Weeks x's 2

 Today marks 32 weeks for me with sweet baby Rylan! It is super exciting to be this close already but weird to know my sweet Holden will only be the only child for just a few more short weeks. Holden was born at 38 weeks and about 3 days so we will have to wait and see when Mr. Rylan comes to join us. Not much longer until I schedule my c-section either! 

The rest of this year is going to fly by with Holden's birthday and Christmas and our hospital tour{I'm having Rylan at a different hospital than I had Holden at} coming up in a few weeks! 

Today we hung his curtain in his room and my Mom stopped by and helped with a changing pad cover problem I was having.... it was making me crazy! HA! His room is coming together and we just have a few more things we need to get for in there. I also had a friend come over and I helped her make a few Christmas presents for some of her friends and family so I am sooo tired. I am heading to bed as soon as my sheets are dry. Don't you just LOVE clean sheets?? I know so random but whatever! So night all I leave you with a side by side of me pregnant with Holden at 32 weeks and 32 weeks with Rylan.

Car Seat Recover #2

 A while back, my sweet cousin Keri asked me to recover a car seat for her. She had been given a car seat from a friend to use as an extra for her husbands car and wanted to know if I would recover it for her. Of course I said yes!

I love doing new projects like this and learning along the way exactly how to do it. The actual car seat part was super simple and I just took the pieces apart recovered them and put them back together. The top canopy however gave me a little trouble since I had never done one before but turned out better than I expected! 

So here is the before pics:

6 years

 Six years ago today was the worst day of my life. I woke up to find out that Michael was gone. 

Just like that. He was too young and had so much living to do.

The same brother who I had just asked two days before what to buy someone for Christmas and now he was gone. 

The same brother who would sit at the table for dinner every night and make noises just to make everyone laugh. 

The same brother who had the BIGGEST heart of anyone who I have ever know. 

The same brother who would keep us up all night playing his guitar until the wee hours of the morning. 

The same brother who could and would do anything for anyone.

He was amazing.

He wasn't really my "brother" by blood but my step-brother- which I have never called him and still don't.

What I would do to have to just a few more hours with him.

What I would do to have had him at my wedding.

What I would do to have him meet Holden and soon Rylan. I know he would LOVE them so much.

What I would do to see him again.

And I KNOW one day I will!

I'm not sure the pain ever goes away when you loose someone.

But it does get "easier" to make it thru the hard days.

I still think about him every day.

But days like today are the hardest.

Days when you know it's been another year that he has been gone.

Of course I made a guitar shirt for Holden to wear today but somehow never got a picture of it.

But every time I looked at that sweet little boy{even when he was screaming at dinner after not having a nap} I was beyond thankful for him and having him in my life.

And that simple little guitar reminded me of his amazing Uncle Michael.

We love you and miss you so much. But know you are rocking it out our with Jesus.

This little Monkey

 We were excited to dress Holden up this year and take him trick or treating. Unfortunately, Holden got my sickness and was sick. I took him to the doctor in the morning but his medicine hadn't really kicked in yet so he wasn't feeling much better. We really wanted to take him trick or treating at least to a few houses just to say we did but decided it was best not to.

So instead we headed over to my Mom's house and let him do a little trick or treating over there. Well their neighborhood doesn't really have many trick or treaters so they had all their lights off and were hanging out watching tv in their room and couldn't hear this little monkey ringing their doorbell. So of course I had to text them.

I'm not sure Holden really got the idea of trick or treating at all but he was VERY ready to get out of his monkey costume and eat some candy that Nana gave him

Harris decided that he loved Holden a lot and really wanted Holden to share! HA!
