BIG step!!

For the past ten weeks since Rylan was born, Holden has wanted NOTHING to do with him! And I do mean nothing. He hasn't been jealous or even wanted him near him. Ever. There is maybe 5 times he has ever asked where he is or wanted to carry his car seat but besides those few times he really doesn't want much to do with him.

Then this morning I was talking to Cooper about letting his mommy hold Rylan when she gets home. (he gets super jealous so we are working on that) and when I was asking Cooper if she could hold him, Holden ran over and asked to hold him! I told him to sit and I would put him in his lap and he did! Now this only did last about five seconds but hey it's progress! : )

I had my two month check up today!

I'm 12 lbs 6 oz {51%} and 24.75 inches {90%}

And I have my first ear infection : (

Another Pinterest creation

Y'all I am having so much fun trying out lots of new recipes and crafts and what nots off of pinterest! A few weeks ago I made this but just got around to hanging it in my bathroom today. It sits perfectly between my closet and shower and I LOVE how it turned out! I took the idea off of pinterest but did add my own spin on it. And I might be a little partial, but I do have to say I like mine better! I even personalized it with our wedding date. : ) {mine of course is the top. They other was the one off of pinterest}

Last night we even had a pinterest party and tried out lots of recipes and they were all soo good! It was super fun!! I'll have to do a separate post just on all the yumminess we had!

Anyone else trying out a bunch of things off of pinterest?? I would live to hear what you have made and liked!!

If only I knew what they were thinking.....

Sick baby

I think the worst thing in the world is having a sick baby. They are just do helpless and miserable and it kills me. Since Rylan was born, he has always been a stuffy baby. They told us that it's because when babies are born via csection, they don't get all the fluid squeezed out of them. Well it kinda comes and goes but is never really any cause for concern.

Well since about the end of last week, his congestion has gotten a lot worse. Sunday night it was so bad that he threw up an entire bottle. Monday he was fussy and still super stuffy but he seemed to be ok as long as he was propped up and not laying flat on his back.

Then Monday night hit. Poor little guy did not sleep at all. Maybe a total of two hours was all he slept all night. He just cried and cried all night. He couldn't keep anything down at all. So Tuesday morning I took him in to see the doctor.{He's now a whopping 12 lbs} They did an RSV test which came back negative and he decided he just "has a cold".... I'm still not buying it. He did much better last night but today has been fussy all day. He is still very congested in his sinus and now some has gone to his chest so he has a nasty cough. Poor guy has just been miserable. I am really hoping this sweet little guy feels better soon!! I can't stand it when my babies are sick!

Holden on the other hand, is way out of wack since Daddy started his new job on Monday. So yesterday we went over to Nana and Papas and he played and played. They have a fountain in their backyard and he had tons of fun throwing the frog into the water. : )

Happy 2 months Rylan!

I'm two months old today : ) mommy says she needs to write up what I'm up to but wanted to share these cute pictures of me. I smile a lot now and really wish I could talk but right now I have to go play before its nap time again!

Oh the love

Oh how I just love these sweet boys of mine! They are changing so much so fast! Here is a little of what they are up to!

Holden is just so amazing. He constantly amazes us with how smart he is. He knows and recognizes all of his letters and numbers. His best friends are Cooper and Kylee. His favorite foods are pasta, pizza, and "choo choo treats" {train fruit snacks} he still is head over heels in LOVE with trains and today his two favorite movies are Cars and Finding Nemo. He loves bubble and bubble baths. When we are in the car or even really anywhere he point out letters and spells signs. He's getting to be not so shy anymore but it kinda comes and goes. Some days he will talk to anyone he sees other days he won't even say hi to the neighbors. Silly boy. He becomes a little more interested in Rylan everyday. Mostly he doesn't pay any attention to him but he usually wants to know "where ry-wan go?" He is just so much fun!

Rylan is just the sweetest baby! We finally think that we have the perfect{knock on wood} bottle and formula combo down. He smiles all the time and loves to be held and talked to! Full update on him coming on Friday on his two month post!

What is in a name

When I was little, we had these adorable stools that had our name on them where the letters made a puzzle and fit together. My sister Megan's is still around at my moms house and Holden LOVES it and plays with it every time we are over there.

Well about 3 weeks ago or so, after coming home from my moms, I decided that I needed to find one of these for Holden. So I got on the Internet and searched but never really found what I really wanted. And then we fast forward to today. We went over to my moms again to hang out and my grandparents joined us over there. When we walked in, we saw name stools for Holden and Rylan! The BEST part about them is that my amazing grandparents made them!! They are so awesome and Holden played with his over and over all day long!

So what is in a name? Well in this case LOTS of love!! Iam SO excited for the boys to be able to not only have these but to know that their great- grandparents made them! Super special!

Thank you sooo much Grandma and Grandpa!! We love them sooo much!!
