Two {and 8 months}

Today I had a huge realization that my sweet, sweet Holden Michael is closer to being 3 than he is 2. He is growing up so fast and I can't believe I am already "pinning" away ideas for his birthday! I also realized that I want to remember every little thing at this age... So here is a few things that he is up to these days:
He knows and can recognize all of his colors, numbers, and letters. Still working on shapes.
Trains are still by far his favorite things to play with. Sigh. I may or may not be ready for a new addiction : )
His favorite movies are Charlie and the Chocolate Factory {and Willy Wonka}, Pinnochio, Cars and any train movie.
I love how he runs up with his arms wide open and wants a hug.
He is a Mama's boy but adores his daddy.
He LOVES his blankie!!
Every time Rylan wakes up in the am or from a nap he will say "Rywan wake up in the mornin." it's so cute
He loves playing outside! Water tables, bubbles and chalk are his fav
Every. Single. Time he sees a bus he breaks out singing The wheels on the bus. Love!
Best of all- he calls himself Holden Michael. Funniest and coolest thing ever!

101 and the flu

Today my sweet Rylan is 101 days old. Those 101 days have been so incredible and he is such a sweet and happy baby. We have had a super crazy past few weeks and have had a lot of fun from Jack's sisters, bro in laws and beautiful niece Sophia coming in town to an awesome 30th unsurprised birthday party for him... And not so fun moments.

Well maybe just two not so fun moments.

One of which when Jack sliced his finger open at work 11 days ago and 11 stitches later, today is his first day back.

The other not so fun moment came yesterday. Mr. Holden woke up with a fever of 104. So off to the doctor we went only to find out he has the flu. Poor guy really feels bad. Did you know when the doctor tells you your child has the flu AND you have a three month old at home the doc kinda freaks. So after an escort by a nurse out the back door, totally not kidding, and meds for Holden and Rylan, we are hunkering down at home at least for the time being until everyone is fever free.

But so far Holden is the only one sick and Rylan is still his happy normal self!

2012

I can not believe that 2012 is already here!! I feel like we have waited soo long for January to get here and now it is here and we are just days away from having two sweet little boys!

We rang in the new year like we did last year having a fire in our fire pit in the back yard with all of our neighbors and it was perfect. Now we are just sitting back and enjoying our last few weeks as a family of 3 and I am soaking up every minute I can with this sweet boy! He has become so funny and talks ALL the time!

And so I remember, here are his 2 year check up stats:

Weight 27lbs {30-something %}

Length 37 inches {60-something %}

Still such a long and skinny thing!

2012 is going to be such an amazing year I know already! So let's get this year started!!

Happy Birthday Holden!

Today we celebrated the birthday of the sweetest little boy ever! Jack didn't have any work today {which is a totally different story-he totally got laid off today for lack of work} so he was able to spend the day with us. We started off the day going to Mr. Cooper's house for the day. BUT he woke up sick so his Mommy came home from work and we spent the day just the three of us.

One of Holden's favorite things in the whole world right now is choo-choo twains so we knew we wanted to do something to do with trains for his special day. Well I have been having EXTREME back pain that nothing helps so I didn't really wasn't to go to far in case we needed to head home. Our neighbors had told us about this local train store that they take their son to and he loves. Well it turns out this store is the same place that I had my very first job but we worked out of the guys basement and now he has a store. So we headed there and while we were there he comes running thru the shop saying a train was on its way and to come see it. They are right off a main street so we were right next to the train tracks. Holden was in HEAVEN! I took him outside and sat him on the curb and he just stared the whole time the train went by. This was really his first time seeing a train so close and not in the car and he loved it so much and it totally made his day and mine just knowing how happy he was!

After we left there we ran around and did a few things and visited with his Papa and Mema before heading home. That night we took his to see Santa{which he HATED} and then went over to my parents house for dinner.

It was such a perfect day for such a sweet boy and I know he had so much fun... minus the whole seeing Santa ha!

What a week and 22 months

This past week has been crazy around here! I feel like I have so much to blog about! Let's start a week ago. Not last Thursday, but the Thursday before Jack went into work and his boss called a meeting. So everyone went into the meeting and the owner of the company informed them that Friday{the next day} that their shop was closing their doors and filing bankruptcy. ONE day notice and Jack was out of a job. No job no insurance. Just what I needed to hear being 6 months pregnant. The good news is that he is supposed to start a new job on Tuesday working for a guy that he used to work with at his last job. This guy left where they were working together and started his own company. So lets hope and pray that everything goes smoothly with that!!

So let's move onto something more fun to talk about! : ) This sweet little boy is 22 months old today! TWENTY TWO months! How is it that in TWO months from today I will have a 2 year old and almost another baby??

 He is quite the social butterfly{most of the time} these days! Here is a little of what he is up to at 22 months:

* He is wearing mostly 2T clothes just because I can't justify buying 24 month when 2Tis the same thing- but as always they are way to big in the waist so I am sooo glad that 2T come with adjustable waist!

* He is wearing size 6 or 7 shoes and 3 or 4 diapers. 3 fit better but he seems to leak thru those more

*He has 6 teeth on top and as of yesterday 5 on bottom : )

*Still loving his paci and blankie{no idea of when or how to take paci yet- he is just so.in.love}

* He is talking up a storm and thinks he is saying more than he is : )

*OBSESSED doesn't even describe his love for choo choos

*He is doing great in his big boy bed most nights

*He loves to be outside but with this crazy weather we have been having it gets hard to go out sometimes

*He loves water and the bath... a pool on the other hand.. not so much

* He loves Meow{our cat Hoochie} but I think he just wants to beat her half of the time

*Not sure if hes more a Mommy's boy or Daddy's boy now. He can't stand it when either of us leave

Holden Daddy and I love you SOOO Big! You are our world and make us so happy! We love you sweet boy!

Happy 17 months Holden!

Holden Michael you are 17 months old! I can not believe that you are 17 months already! You are growing up and learning more each and every day. Since I missed your 16 month update I am going to include what you have been doing for the past two months!

*You are wearing size 18/24/2T shirt just depending on the brand and size 6-9 or 12 months shorts. Oh my skinny boy

*You are still in size 3 diapers

*You are wearing size 5 or 6 shoes also depending on the brand. You have some fat little feet.

*You started WALKING on April 27th!!

*You got you first tooth on April 20th and now have four that are coming in right now and another that is about to poke thru {your first was your top right molar then bottom two and now top}

Where oh where are you tonight

Holy Moses have we been busy lately! I have so much to catch up on but am SUPER tired and headed to bed ASAP! I just wanted to give you a little fill in as to what we have been up to : )

Bubbles and Baths. Parties and Birthdays. Singing and Talking.Easter and the ER{yes I spent Easter in the ER- totally fine now}. WALKING {yes Holden started walking last Wednesday!!}

And here is the proof! Right after the first steps of real walking started!

 Sewing{TONS} Staying up way too late. Creating. Running. Biking. Baking

 TEETHING{ Holden has TWO teeth coming in! The first was a molar...}

Swinging. Sliding. Climbing

Playing with friends old and new. Books and cars. Beach planning and socializing

Ad spending lots of time with this most incredible little boy in he whole world! He keeps getting bigger each and every day.

We go walkin'

Here are just a few photos from Holden's first real walking steps!! He has been taking a few steps here and there fo awhile now, but toda he really decided to take off. It was right before nap time and he was super tired and he just kept going!

Happy 15 Months Holden!

Holden Michael you are 15 months old! { Ok so almost 16 month but I wanted to get a few things down before the big 16 months next week : ) } I'm not going to put a lot in this post because like I said you are going to be 16 month next week but I wanted to make sure to get you stats down from the doctor and a few little things bout what is going on in your life right now

 You went to your 15 month check up on 4/1/11 and you are 22 lbs 5 oz {15 percentile} and 33 and a half inches long {95%}
You still aren't walking or have any teeth but that is just fine! You will walk when you are ready and hey you teeth will come in when they are good and ready. I do however think it is starting to frustrate you when you can't bite into something or get a toy you are pushing stuck somewhere.

 We aren't and Campbell's house anymore since he has a new baby sister Harper who was born on your 15 month birthday! BUT we are at Cooper, Cash and Tucker's {Campbell's cousins} and you love them very much!

 You got your first {and second} haircut this month by me and did very well!

 Blankie and paci = a must! And I am NOT about to take away that paci until you are almost or done teething. But I think deff by two... no promises tho : )

You are super happy most of the time and you get into EVERYTHING! And I wouldn't have it any other way! I love you to the moon and beyond sweet boy!

14 Months

Holden Michael you are 14 months old! Where is time going?? You are growing up so fast and I love being able to spend every day with you! You have such a fun personality and so much fun to be around! Here is a little of what you are up to at 14 months:

You are wearing size 12-18 month clothes, size 3 diapers and size 5 shoes.. you are going to have huge feet just like your Daddy

You are a wonderful eater... most of the time... and eat pretty much everything. Your favorites right now are Nutri Grain Bars, lasagna, chicken nuggets, cheese quesadillas, mac and cheese, chicken, yogurt melts, bread and goldfish

You LOVE milk

We can't and don't go anywhere without paci and blankie. But now I only try to give you your paci when you are sleepin or in the car

 

You love to go and be in the car. You are such a good car baby and that is probably a good thing since we are in the car for 45 min twice a day if not more

STILL not one tooth is that sweet little mouth of your but hey they have to come in sometime.... 

You are standing by yourself a lot and can squat down and pick something up and stand back up with no help but aren't walking yet

You are a crazy fast crawler when you want something or see the gate at the bottom of the stairs is open

Your favorite things to watch right now are Elmo, Sesame Street, Barney and Ice Age.. I'm on a wiggles strike since you and Cam could watch them ALL day! HA!

Your Bff if Campbell and you have a love/ hate relationship with each other like brothers. One minute yall are fighting over something and the next playing so great together.

You have found your belly button within the past month and love to show it when anyone ask where it is

 Holden I know I have said this a million or more time to you but I love you so much. More than you will ever know and I feel sooo lucky that God choose Daddy and I to be your parents. We spend so much time just laughing and playing with you and I wouldn't change a thing in the world! I love you sweet boy!

Happy 13 Months Holden!

Holden Michael, On Sunday you turned 13 months old! Wow time is flying by! You are such a sweet boy and we love you more and more every.single.day! Here is a little of what you have been up to in the past month:

You are wearing size 12-18 month clothes, size 3 diapers and size 5 shoes

You take one or two{on the way home from work} naps a day

You go to bed every night about 8ish. On the weekends or when we don't have to get up in the morning I let him stay up a little longer if he wants.

You love to go anywhere and anytime we say bye-bye you come over to us and start waving to anyone who is around

No teeth yet. Not even one and no signs that they are coming... even though you are getting more fussy lately and drooling a lot more so maybe by next month??

Still crawling fast as lightening esp towards the stairs if the gate is ever open. I think you could play on the stairs all day and no we don't let ya. Sorry bud!

You love bathtime! You could play in there all long

In the past month, it has snowed TWICE! And the second time was last week and we had the whole week off of work! You aren't so crazy about the snow..

Lately you want to be held all the time and follow me around all day so I can pick you up... and I do : ) You aren't going to be a baby forever but you will always be my baby!

Holden I don't think I could ever tell you in words how much that I truly love you. You make your Daddy and I's life so wonderful and we LOVE you more than you will ever know! Happy 13 months sweet boy!

Happy 11 Month Birthday Holden!

Seriously?!?! Holden Michael when did you grow up SOOO fast?? Today you are ELEVEN months old! That means that just in a few weeks, I will have a big 1 year old! Oh sweet boy, how we love you so much! You are such a joy and fill our days with so much happiness! You are the best thing that has ever happened to us and we love you more and more every day. You are the funniest little boy around. You have the funniest laugh and we just LOVE to hear it. Here is a little of what you are up to at 11 months: 

You are still wearing size 3 diapers.

You wear size 6-12 month pants for the length of course and size 6-12 or 12-18 month shirts depending on how long they are.

You sleep about 11 1/2 hours at night {sometime more on the weekends} and take 1 or 2 naps a day.

You are starting to get more and more hair!

 You like to eat more every day. Well sometimes. You will eat almost anything that we give you but still are funny about if you want to eat or not. Some days you will eat a TON and then the next not so much.

You favorite foods are Ritz crackers, goldfish, little puff cheetos things, pepperoni, avocado, corn, any pasta, cheese quesadillas, rice at the mexican restaurant {not white rice}. Really you eat just about everything.

You are all done with baby food! No need to buy it when you will eat whatever we are eating.

You still have NO teeth and I love the little toothless smile : )

We have started dropping bottles so you now only get a bottle in the morning and at bedtime or so.

You could suck on your paci all day if I let you and you love your blankie.

You think that dogs and cats are the best thing ever.

You are a HUGE flirt!

You just went to your first birthday party a few weeks ago for one of your girlfriends Abagail and had lots of fun.

You are crawling EVERYWHERE and are super fast!

You love water {playing in it and drinking}

Your favorite things are your cars, big dump truck that Daddy got you, balls and Elmo.

You make a "brrrrr" sound when you play with your cars! It is soo stinkin cute!

You think it is the funniest thing ever to climb up on the bottom step if the gate isn't closed. 

You love to follow me around and say Mamamamamama all day. And you know that Dadadadada is Daddy. 

I can ask you during the day or at home before Daddy gets home where is Daddy and you look around everywhere for him.

You love going on walks but it's almost getting to cold for them. Plus its dark at like 5:30.

You have started dancing to music and it is adorable! 

You have such a funny and loving personality. You will crawl over to people you don't know that come over and pull yourself up on their legs so that they can pick you up.

You love to be held.

When I sign the song If your Happy and you Know It you will clap your hands!

You clap and say "yea" all the time

Holden you change SO much every day! I can not believe how awesome the past 11 months have been! We love you sweet boy!

Happy 10 Month Birthday Holden!

It's official. My baby boy is TEN months old! Ten! When did this happen? Ok so maybe he turned 10 months a few or 3 days ago but we were on a car trip back from Miami and I don't think he was in the mood or wanted to take any picture or sit still for anything once he was out of is car seat! Sweet Holden here is a little of what you are up to at TEN months!

{I did forget to update about his 9 month appt so how... he was 19 1/2 lbs and in the 35% and 28 1/2 inches and in the 53%... or something like that}

You are wearing size 3 diapers still. Cloths of course are crazy for you. Shorts 3-6 months and big but I gave up on 0-3, Pants 6-12 month for lenght and hope they don't fall off, and shirts either 6-12 or 12-18 because you are just so long.

You are now taking about 3 naps a day at about 9, 12 and around 4 on the way home from Campbell's house.

You go to bed between 7:30 and 8:30 most nights

You are such a happy baby and loves people! On our trip last week to MIA he was passed around all week to people he hadn't ever seen before or hadn't since he was only a few days old and he didn't mind at all!

You just got back from a TEN hour trip in the car and you did WONDERFUL!!! Mommy and Daddy were SO proud of you!!

You love to clap and talk

Still no teeth but we aren't worried about them : ) They will come in when they are good and ready!

You are a crawling machine and EVERYWHERE and VERY fast!

You love Elmo, any ball toys, lights, music and loved spending the week with your favorite cousin in the whole world Sophia.. ok so maybe she is your only cousin but you love her so much!

Sophia gave you your first real nick name last week. It was really cute because she couldn't say Holden so she calls you "Hodie". When she says it it sounds like Ho-die and I am so mad we didn't get it on video cause it was SOOO cute!

You like to eat. Sometime. You aren't picky about what you eat but some times you will go a few days and not eat much at all and then the next you eat a ton.

But you do eat just about everything I feed you! 

You got your first tattoo last week. Sorry Grandma : ) It did come off in the bath tub! HA! Aunt Diana gave it to you and then gave herself one too and it was super cute!

I am happy to say that you are going to have a new girlfriend in March!! Campbell's Mommy is going to have a sweet baby girl and you are more than welcome to marry her! Plus you are best friends with her big brother Cam and you love her Mommy and Daddy so this might just be more than perfect! But you do have many other girlfriends too. You are just such a HUGE flirt!

Holden, You are the best thing that has ever happened to your Daddy and I! We love you more and more each day and thank God that he chose us to be your parents! You are such a joy and bring so many smiles to our face each day! We love you so much sweet boy more and more every day!
