Happy Birthday Holden!

Yesterday we celebrated this sweet little boys first birthday!! How amazing it is that he is already ONE year old! As much as I wanted the day to be fun for him where he would get to play and have so much fun unfortunately it wasn't. Mr. Holden came down with a fever of 102.5 on Monday night and was just miserable. I took him to the doctor on Tuesday to find out that he had an ear infection {and I think a sinus infection too or he got one right after} Tuesday night Campbell's Mommy called me to tell me she was taking off Wednesday because Cam was sick and running a fever also. And then the rain came in and it was cold. Like in the teens. Sooooo everything yesterday was defrosting and we were home again. It was probably a good thing since on Wed he felt much better then yesterday not so much and slept a lot. {The picture above might be one of the only times he smiled all day} Then last night he woke up again with a fever and some of his congestion has moved south to his chest. So back to the doctor we go again later today! I promise I will post pictures from his special day and a 1 ear update as soon as I can! : )

My new window..

A few months ago, I was reading thru a blog that I read and my bloggy friend Kendra had this adorable project that she was going to start with a door. For months Jack and I had looked for doors that I could use for this project. Well since I am married to such a wonderful man, and he just happens to work for a glass company, he found me this amazing window! So instead of making my picture frame with a door, I used a window. And that amazing hubs that I was talking about did all the work. He started be sanding down the white old paint that was on the window {from a house he replaced the windows in} then did all the red painting. Then after a few coats of paint, I cut out scrapbook paper to fit inside of the windows and taped them to the back of the windows. Then I ordered prints at somewhere I won't mention {CVS} and had to go back more than two time because the didn't have my order ready {even though I ordered it online many hours before} and I got 16 5x7's in black in white to fill the holes. Yes I know there are color pics on here. That is because I used it to put all of Holden's monthly pictures in for his birthday and I think it looked awesome! The pictures are on the front of the window so I can replace as I want!

So here is the rest of Holden's birthday party. I should start by saying there is way too many pics below so enjoy at your own risk! : ) I had this great idea of breaking everything up over a few days... but yeah.. ummm lets just do it in two! HA! Holden's birthday was the most insane craziness that you have ever seen. Lets start with the fact that I live in a townhome. I LOVE my home and LOVE where I live and my neighbors are just awesome so I wouldn't want to live anywhere else! Not right now at least..... and then you put 45 of your closest friends and family in your townhome... lets just say it was comfy! It was raining and cold outside and people where EVERYWHERE and it was the best day ever and one that I will never forget!!

 Our amazing friends and family members came over, squeezed into our townhome {which really is big}, and celebrated the most perfect day ever! My babies First birthday! Jack's sisters, and our BIL and niece even flew in from FL just for the weekend! How amazing they are!! : )

This day was the craziest and most wonderful day ever! Jack and I are still in awe of how amazing our friends and families are! Yall helped to make his first birthday party just perfect and I wouldn't have had it any other way!

Holden's Birthday Party-Part 1

This past weekend was a big one for us! We celebrated Holden's FIRST birthday! Look how amazing this cake is! It was so amazing and tasted as good as it looked! : )

I have TONS of pictures so I am going to spread them out thru the week. We had around 40-45 of our closest friends and family over and it was crazy in our little townhome but so wonderful and I wouldn't have had it any other way!

Holden's cakes and smash cake guitar were make by the awesome Abby from Loulu's Bake Shop. If you live anywhere in N. Georgia or so you HAVE to try one of her cakes! They are just amazing!

So for today that is it but tomorrow will be more : )

Why....

Why is Holden so excited?? Because we celebrated his FIRST birthday yesterday! {no this pic isn't from the party but I love it : ) } We had sooo much fun enjoying celebrating with our family and friends! I have sooo many pictures to share but for now, I'm going to spend time with this sweet little guy and will add the pics later and tell you all about the fun later!
