Crazy About Him

Friday, September 10, 2010

Three years ago I married this guy and I am still just as crazy about him as the day I met him!{Ok maybe a little more!}

I have always loved this picture of him. It was after our wedding and we had just taken pictures on the beach and were arriving at our reception in the red bug.

And now I have another little guy to be crazy about.

I can't help it. I am just so crazy about them!

Three Years Ago Today...

Tuesday, September 7, 2010

Three years ago today the day was Saturday, September 8, 2007. It was the best day of my life. I married my best friend Jack. And what an amazing three years it has been! We were married in Jekyll Island, Georgia under a huge Oak tree. It was perfect. Hot, but perfect. It was such a beautiful day and about 175 of our closest friends and families were there to celebrate with us!

Labor day Weekend

What an awesome weekend we had this past weekend! It was filled with so many friends and our family and we just had the best time! We started off Friday night going out with some of our best friends Mandy and Bill and their two kidos Abbie and Jacob to our favorite local Japanese restaurant. Jack and I LOVE this place and we go there way too much but it is super cheap and super good! Holden loves it there but he is always so tired from all the action to stay awake the whole time. That sweet baby!

Saturday afternoon we headed down to the aquarium with our awesome neighbors. Jack and I went a few years back for his birthday but this was our first time taking Holden. He LOVED it! The only problem was it was VERY crowded and people were everywhere! But he got to look up close at the fish and he loved them!

We cam home and had a little bon fire in our pit in the back yard and it was a perfect ending to the day!
Sunday we headed over to my Mom and Billy's house for a house warming party. We had so much fun and got to see so many people. Then Sunday night we had another little bon fire. {Since it is so cool here now at night we love being able to sit outside with neighbors}

Monday we spent all day with this little guy. He is now crawling ALL over the place and pulling up on EVERYTHING. He is so much fun and loves that he can get everything that he wants now. Monday night Jack and I went out for our anniversary since it is tomorrow, we didn't want to rush home from work and try to get somewhere. So we dropped off Holden with my Mom and off we went to Red Lobster.
This little guy just melts my heart! He is the sweetest thing in the world and we love being able to soak up every minute with him!

I love the fall!

I love the Fall! And I am so glad that it is {or almost} here! These are just a few reasons why I love the fall:
* The cool fall weather
* Corn maze at Uncle Shucks
* I LOVE fall festivals
* Carmel Apple Spice drink from Starbucks
* Jack and I's anniversary is September 8
* Georgia Football! Go Dawgs!
* Carmel Candles that fill your home with such a wonderful smell
* Pumpkin Pie
* Going to Miami in October! {We are SOOO excited about this and I have already started making my list of what we need}
* Being able to turn off the air and open the windows
* Being able to spend lots of time with my two favorite people Jack and Holden

These are just a few reasons why I love fall! I am so glad that it is {almost} here!

Fun Weekend

Sunday, August 29, 2010

We had such a fun weekend this weekend! Friday night, we hung out around home and had fun with some neighbors. Then Saturday, we got up and had a big day. We headed over to my Mom and Billy's house to hang out for awhile since my grandparents would be there. They have been gone for THREE months while driving to Alaska and back! The boys worked on installing some new lights in the kitchen and the girls and Holden just did little things here and there like hang things on the wall and watch this big guy try and crawl. Holden, for almost 7 months I got up with you almost every single night, took care of you almost every single day all day, I held you and cuddled with you and this is what you have to say to me? Thanks! HA! I love this boy and his new thing is blowing raspberries! He thinks he is just too cute {which I do too} and if you do it to him he will do it right back!

I took a little time trying to get a good few pics of him in their back yard in his adorable outfit. And I did get some cute ones but man he would not look at me and smile for anything!

But when his BFF Chatt came running out he stared going crazy and laughing at him! Silly boy!

He just has started to find shadows and it is so funny to watch him.

Here was Jack and my Grandpa working away on getting the lights hooked up.
This picture is of Holden's Great-Grandma {my Grandma} and him. So cute!

Holden and Nana {my Mom}

After we left Mom and Billy's, we headed over to their old house to move a fridge out of the garage and take it to Jack's parents house. While we were there we went over and visited with Colleen, Dana and Phil {Avery is away at UGA so we missed her}. They were the BEST {and I do mean BEST} neighbors for us for 18 years and it is so weird not getting to see them as much! {Just a little background on how far we go back, I went to the hospital with Avery to bring Dana home after she was born. THEN Collen was able to be in the delivery room with Jack and I during my c-section when Holden was born since she worked for my doctors office. They are just so special to us!!!} After visiting with them I went in our old house. It was so weird. So empty. So many memories just rushed into my head and I just cried thinking about everything we had gone through in that house. My parents divorced in that house, then my Mom remarried and the boys moved in. Five teenagers in one house. I do have to say that was awesome. It's the last place I saw Michael, right in the living room. Jack and I lived there for a year after getting married. And MANY other just family memories. And many with our friends as well.
After leaving the house and dropping off the fridge at Jack's parents house we headed to Frontera with them and Bill, Mandy, Abbie and Jacob {our second family} Today we hung around the house all day and then went to my Mom and Billy's for dinner. It was a great weekend filled with lots of fun and memories!!

Up, Up and {well almost} Away!

Friday, August 27, 2010

After over 8 months this little guy decided to get up and moving. Well sorta. He can totally move his knees and his hand but still is having trouble trying to figure out how to move them together. So instead he does this push up kinda move then moves one knee at a time then his hands. I really don't know how he can get anywhere but it works for him! HA! Instead of going towards all of the tons of toys, of course he goes right for the table that I would rather him stay away from!

Hi Mommy!

This was later after his first nap. He had a really bad heat rash on his back and stomach so I just took his shirt off.

This crawling stuff is hard work. Will you pick me up now?
